Chocolate Mousse Recipe

E-mail Print

Chocolate_MousseThis is an amazing dessert recipe that was lost to me for 20 years.  I finally recovered it from a family vault (my mom), and it's been reborn.  It's also the easiest dessert recipe to make, other than store bought ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. Chocolate Chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 T Grand Marnier (you can substitute kahlua or another of your favorites)
  • 3 T Coffee (strong and hot)
  • 3/4 Cups Whole Milk Scalded (microwave for 1 1/2 minutes, just before a boil)

Directions

Add all the ingredients to a blender (the hot milk will melt the chocolate and coddle the eggs).  Mix in a blender for 2 minutes.  Add to a serving bowl or cocktail glass (I use a martini glass).  Refrigerate overnight, and it's ready to serve as a delicious dessert.

Eliminate the liquor if you're making this for kids.
