Apple and Blue Cheese Tossed Salad Recipe

This is a very easy to make salad that nicely complements any meal for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C red wine  vinegar
  • 1/3 C canola oil
  • 1 t Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 t salt>
  • 1/2 t oregano
  • 2T sugar
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1 Apple Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Crumbled Bleu Cheese

Directions

For the dressing, mix all the ingredients (except apples and cheese) well in container and you're ready to go. Easy to make ahead of time. When you're ready to serve, mix in enough to lightly coat the lettuce and mix in the apples and cheese.

For my salad I love using Butter Lettuce and goat cheese.  You can personalize it by adding sliced mushrooms, 2 T. lemon juice, or chopped nuts;  or you can substitute torn red leaf lettuce/spinach or cranberries.
