How to Make a Compass Craft Project

Making a compass to find magnetic north or south (depending on where you live) can be fun and educational for your kids.  It's great for girl scouts, cub scouts, or y-princess or guides, and really gets them thinking about the different items that can be used to make a compass.

We loved the result so much we have made it every year since, using different wood shapes, and making an extra one to keep for our own trees.

Making Flower Pens

This is a really cute project that can be made for Mother's Day or Teacher Appreciation, especially when made in a bunch and placed in a small pot. We made these pens as part of a Brownie Try-It "Friends are Fun", using a chrysanthemum which stands for friendship.
